Gateway plans to open first artificial gravity space hotel in 2025

Gateway unveils Von Braun Station, which could be the first space hotel with artificial gravity and all the amenities available on Earth.

According to the hotel’s plan, it will be able to accommodate 400 people and will have the necessary infrastructure for a comfortable stay, including restaurants and cinemas. The living quarters will be located on the outer ring rotating together with the entire structure, creating artificial gravity.

Similar technology is used on the ISS, but on Von Braun the attraction will be stronger, which will allow people to walk normally and stay on the object for a long time without harm to health..

The outer ring, 190 m in diameter, will contain 24 housing units. Some of the rooms are reserved for permanent residence of staff, some will be leased to space agencies, and the rest designed for space tourists.

The company expects the hotel to host around 100 guests each week. Gateway plans to build a station by 2025 and start collaborating with other private space projects.

Earlier, we also announced the start of construction of the first space power plant..
